These are some of the more frequently asked questions asked over the years. These answers will give you a good idea our approach, goals, objectives and intended results for the Movement.

What Subjects Will Be Taught? 

  • Basic Math, Basic English, Business Principles and Practices, Basic Economics. ARE mandatory And Computer Technology selective. 
  • Open door policy – Student may come and go any time in the program with good reasons but will be required starting that program.

Do You Need Subjects Or Any Previous Certification Or Credit To Attend?

  • No pre-requirements or pre-requisites to attend.

What Are Some Other Areas Attendees Will Be Trained In?

  1. Employment creation – Job vs career
  2. Entrepreneurship skills – How to create and operate a successful business; turning ideas into a profitable businesses.
  3. Entertainment – Performance, choreography, music bands, music writing, musical instrument making
  4. Healthcare education – Dental, Physical therapy, massage therapy, live-in assistance care, 
  5. A student exchange program – to give students and opportunity to experience life outside their immediate community locally.
  6. Mentorship/coaching program – every student will have the opportunity to get one to one coaching
  7. Disciplinary Art – Meditation, Yoga, Pilate, Karate, Boy/Girl scout, Cadet (minus the guns).
  8. Guess Teachers – People from different professions and different countries can come in to teach a skill and or share life experiences.
  9. A pen-pal program – Building relationships with like-minded people in other parts of the world thru sharing life skills thru communication.
  10. Upcycle – A recycle program and repurpose program on how to give new life discarded items.
  11. Renewable energy program – Making energy generating devices with available parts.
  12. Manufacturing – Non-traditional and somewhat traditional beds, picnic benches, and furniture for the less fortunate.
  13. Candle making – Using bees wax and other essential oils.
  14. Distillation – Making wine, liquor, perfume
  15. Construction – Decorative and creative approach to building and beautifying homes (walkways. floors, columns, walls, ceilings, counter tops, gardening)

Will This Benefit Communities?

  • Community Development Projects – Building and repairing of clinics, schools, elderly homes, homeless shelters, churches, day cares, orphanages. etc.

 

What Criteria For The School’s Existence Are they?

  • DESIGN: The entire system needs to be modular and replicable. 
  • STANDING: For this to stand a chance to succeed as Jamaicans it needs to be NON-politically and NON-religiously affiliated, a space where no one feels left out, but all feel included.
  • COST: This is entirely FREE to attend
  • OPERATIONS: Every attendee contributes in its development to generate what it takes to run it. 
  • FUNDING: A system financially independent of any one individual person or supporter or sponsors.

What about government regulations and certification?

  • We are not government regulated as far as the curriculum is concerned. The Ministry of Education is aligned & as an independent school we say how it goes, since we are not financed or support by the government they don’t dictate the daily operations, they only see to it that the facility is up to standard, safe and accommodates the necessities for its participants.  

Where Will This School Be Located?

  • We will be doing this island wide, anywhere the demand from the community is strong and willing we will ensure it happens.
